Nav Durga Path and Homa (Havan) or Navchandi is a Durga Puja performed to fulfill wishes. By performing Navchandi Yagya, the seeker gets freedom from sufferings. The Nine form of Goddess Adi Shakti is called Navdurga. Goddess Durga immediately blesses the prayers and worship of the devotees, According to ancient texts, Navchandi Yagya bestows good health, wealth, prosperity, longevity, food, wealth, fame, success, strength. This yagya removes diseases, troubles, fear of defeat at the hands of opponents and pacifies the sins of nine planets.

Devi Mahatmyam is also known as the Durga Saptashati or Chandi paath (ritual reading). Devi Mahatmyam contains 700 verses, arranged into 13 chapters. According to Damara Tantra "Like Aswamedha in Yagnas, Hari in Devas, Durga Sapthsati is in hymns." "Like the Vedas; Saptasati is eternal" says Bhuvaneshwari Samhita.
