Maa Mangala Gauri is worshiped on the eighth day of Navratri. In the Devi Bhagat Purana, it has been told that the new form of Mother Goddess and the 10 Mahavidyas are all nine forms of Adishakti, but Maa Gauri is always seated with Lord Shiva as her consort. Mata Mangala Gauri is one of the goddesses of Dasmahavidya, due to her being with Lord Shiva, Mahagauri is always seated in the Ardhangini group, her power is unfailing and achievable, all the sins of the devotees are washed away by the mere worship of Mahagauri. In most of the houses, girl worship is done on the Ashtami date of Navratri, while some people worship on the Navami date.
