Nagkesar is also call Mesua ferrea. Nag Kesar is herb herbs while use as homa and puja. Nagkesar is mostaly used to worship of Lord Shiva, Goddess MahaLakshmi, Lord Shani. 

Highly fragrant natural herb, is used in pooja/rituals. It is also used in Shiv pooja. It is also used as an offering in yagna/havan. It makes the yagna/havan more powerful and attract auspiciousness.

To attract the goddess Maha Laxmi put the black turmeric, Mesua Ferrea or nag kesar in the silver box and apply the red Kamiya sindoor on it then put the box in your locker for increasing your wealth. After putting the box in the locker chant the Swaha mantra. Chant this mantra continuously while doing the ritual. 

Nagkesar Uses in Diwali:

• In any auspicious day on Deepawali, keeping Nagakesar and 5 coins in a cloth and keeping them in the vault, there is no money in the house.
• To avoid financial tightness, keeping Nagkasar and honey in a small silver box and keeping it in the vault will be beneficial. Keep changing it every Diwali.
• After consecration of Shivling on Deepavali, offer bilva patra and flowers of Nagakesar. Offer prasad after that. Keep the bilge letters and flowers offered in the vault.
• Put Nagakesar, turmeric, betel nut, a coin, piece of copper and Akshata in a cloth and keep it in Lakshmi Puja on the day of Diwali. After the puja keep this bundle in the vault.
• From Diwali to applying saffron tilak every day, it gets rid of discord in the house.
• Wrapping Nagkasar in cloth and keeping it in the vault never reduces the arrival of money.
• On the day of Deepawali, make a swastika sign outside Nagakesar and at the place of worship.
